Went to this place on a Saturday and we had to wait over 50 minutes but it was worth the wait! This place is by portioning so if there's 2 of you- make sure to order 2+ portions. I loved the brisket meat!!! It was so flavorful and the sauce that came with it made it 100x better. We also got the filet mignon and that was alright but needed more salt. If you dip the fillet mignon meat in the salt with edamame it makes it taste better! I love the steamed egg but they had the shrimp in the bottom of it. I love their edamame so that is a must get. We had the Tokyo drift drink which was super delicious and the Summer in Tokyo which I was personally not a fan of but it was just not my taste! I would definitely come back for the meat because the quality is super delicious and soft. The ambiance is super nice too- it gives a modern night time vibe. Our waiter was super nice and consistent and always checked up on us to see if we were doing good 100/10! Would come back

We ordered a lot of food to celebrate my mom's birthday with a party of eight. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere, and the server was friendly and welcoming. The food was great, though a bit on the pricey side. Overall, it was a good experience!

Love but it's gonna take a second to go back. We booked it and you have to put a card down (they really wanna make sure you show up). Our waitress was SUPER nice like I absolutely adored her, it was extremely busy and honestly obnoxiously loud since there is a bar area that tons of people are lingering at. Order a lot of meat, like 2-3 plates a person because the portions aren't that big for the meats. The karage was good, the lotus salad is eh for me but others really liked it, the garlic fried rice is nothing special. I'm gonna be so honest, all the meats tasted the same, the cuts are different but they all just ended up tasting salty at the end of the night. The dipping sauces that they come with are good but nothing special. Sushi wasn't worth it. You don't need it. Good place, good food, just go try it and you won't have to wonder.

I visited Gyu Shige on Valentine's Day, and upon arrival, the hosts at the front desk were handing out roses to all parties--such a sweet touch. In general, I'd consider this a more intimate restaurant, with dim lighting and fireplaces playing on TVs. It's perfect for a date night, but I've also been here with friends on multiple occasions. Service is usually outstanding. While our server on this visit wasn't the most attentive, I've never had an issue before--if anything, service here typically exceeds my expectations. Joe, the manager, is very kind and has personally checked in on us (and other nearby tables) during past visits. Servers Julie, Kevin, and Zhen are also really great. The food has been consistently excellent every time. The meat selections are incredibly tender, with the rich marbling of high-end cuts. I highly recommend trying the wagyu--especially the wagyu cubes, which are my favorite. The sushi is also a great choice, with the baked lobster roll being my personal favorite. Honestly, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu--everything is delicious!

We were in the area and decided on some Korean bbq! Elegant decor as you walked in, lighting a bit of the dim side but I think that's just to set the mood. Awesome service, great food, I have to say ALL tasty liked them all.. haha including grilled edamame and our fried rice . Although I think the fried rice was a little bit on the smaller portion for the price. :) Overall good experience and had an enjoyable girls night out!

Excellent experience here tonight!! I loved that they had Japanese BBQ and sushi both, made for a very fulfilling meal! Started with a great cocktail and some prosecco and some apps. We went with the Shabu Shabu salad (very good but it was strange to have a cold salad with cold meat on it), Hamachi Jalapeño Tuna and the Tuna Lobster Roll (also very good but strange to have cold fish wrapped around warm baked lobster). Really wish they'd had some of their oysters but unfortunately they were out. For meats we ordered the boneless prime rib (unmarinated but good), Yozu Jalapeño Shrimp, Spicy Pork Belly. Everything was excellent but we also ordered asparagus and it was $7 for 6 tiny stalks of asparagus which I thought was pretty outrageous. I mean everything here is pricey but that one seemed excessive. For sushi we got tuna nigiri and sashimi, salmon nigiri and sashimi, yellowtail nigiri and sashimi and then got the King Salmon Roll and the Yellowtail Special Roll. All of the sushi was excellent.

An amazing experience overall! First of all the atmosphere is beautiful and intimate. Service was top-notch. Our group of 4 ordered several appetizers, a sushi/sashimi platter that came out with eye-catching steam, and many different meats for the grill. The chutoro (medium fatty tuna) nigiri was absolutely melt-in-your-mouth tender and I highly recommend it. The scallops and duck breast were our table's favorites among grilled foods. Overall there wasn't a dish we didn't like. We ended the meal with peach oolong crepe cake, recommend if you like strong tea-flavored desserts.

Gyu Shige was my first ever JBBQ experience. My friend brought me here for dinner and I'm happy I got to give it a try! The cuts of meat that they serve are seasoned very well and are very delicious, although quite small. Our server was very knowledgable and kind. My favorite item was the beef brisket (pictured below). It came with a marinade and was absolutely fire. The short rib was also very good, albeit small. There weren't any items that did not taste good. You aren't going to leave this place full, but the experience is phenomenal. Good spot!

We had a reservation here for our anniversary on a Wednesday night and were seated quickly in a nice quiet corner. You do have put in a credit card when making a reservation, but it's not charged. The drinks are always amazing. I've tried something different each time and they have great selections for cocktails. To start, we had the flaming tuna roll which was outstanding. It was so fresh and had a great kick to it. It is a little pricey for what it is, but to be fair this isn't the cheapest place to eat regardless. We ordered the spicy pork belly which was so tender and flavorful, zucchini, truffle wagyu fried rice (comes with maybe 5 pieces of wagyu), and the boneless short rib. The pork belly definitely had much more flavor. The service is always very accommodating, quick, and friendly. It's a dark restaurant but has bright lights above each table. Sometimes the booth has a little less privacy, but still nice. Definitely recommend!

Way overdue review - our twins chose to celebrate 18th bday here over the summer. Place gets super busy - lots of celebrations, casual to dress-ish outfits. It was fun & interactive to grill meats tabletop, with fun rolls for our pescatarian daughter. Drinks also super creative and strong (yay). Highly recommend for fun (pricey) dinner out - def get reservations in advance.
